let the festivites begin....

We have been having lots of fun getting ready for Christmas. We decorated early this year since we are going to Utah mid December. The kiddies love to decorate the tree and it is always a highly anticipated event as to whose turn it will be to put the star on top! Liza gets giddy when we start the whole Christmas season. She knows her birthday is just around the corner. Hopefully, that won't wear off when she gets older !
We had the super cool Christensen family over to decorate "gingerbread" houses with A LOT of candy!! Nate was so lovin' his..it didn't last long.

Rachel went for the more modern look with the flat roof and all. I think she used an entire package of graham crackers. Very creative! Hannah and Aliza learned a lot about the process. We will be doing this for years to come!

Thanksgiving weekend all the Whipple kids got together and built an igloo.
It melted a little before we could get a picture. This took a lot of hours, ingenuity and team work. Good Job. It could be with us all winter although it needs a few minor repairs

I can't believe Liza is in a skirt in that picture! Well I guess that is typical Liza isn't it? :)

Cool igloo! I can't believe there's that much snow already. Makes me cold just looking at it. Have fun in Utah!

wow, you already have enough snow for igloos. our first snow just fell today (dec. 9), and it's of course nothing like NY used to be. i'm still loving that there isn't that much. the kids are begging me to go out, i should probably get all the snow gear out.

=) hope you're well!
