Just Peachy!

One of our final adventures of the summer was a trip to Green Acre farm. The girls did a fantastic job of picking delicious peaches (approx. 120 lbs.) Nathan chose to throw instead of pick the peaches. OOPS. The kids love to go and pick anything and peaches were no different. Okay...so now what? We spent the next three days canning and yielded quite a supply of bottles of peaches!! YUM!! We did have a slight accident. I was trying to squeeze by the table where the beautiful bottles were cooling and sealing. I knocked 7-8 bottles off the table onto the floor. Talk about a mess! Luckily, only three of the bottles broke. It was quite a dramatic scene!!! We are so blessed with abundance and I am grateful for peaches!
Rachel's new do!

One of the big events of the summer was Rachel's haircut. She woke up one morning and flat out said, "Mom, I totally want to get my hair cut!" We found the slowest cosmotologist in Alabama and went for it. It is adorable and was much cooler for the summer weather.
NATHAN'S 2ND BIRTHDAY

Nathan turned two in July and the theme was...cars! Nathan's favorite candy is tootsie rolls so they
had to be included in the cake. We made a small racetrack cake and kept the day pretty low key. He had tons of fun opening his gifts and playing with all the new toys. Below is a picture of the handmade wooden train great-grandpa Morgan made. He is so talented and generous! Nathan loves his "toot toot"!
Beach Baby
This picture was taken in Florida and we just loved Nathan's expression and his sandy hand!
We had such an amazing time on the beach in Pensacola. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. It was much needed R&R after the prior stressful month while Mike was at COT.
Commisioned Officer Training
Montgomery, Alabama
May 29-June 29, 2007

Michael spent all of June learning how to march, eat fast, iron, burn threads off his clothes, and other crucial military skills. He is a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force! Mike made friends for life and pushed himself to his limits. This is evidenced by him earning the "distinguished" graduate award. This was awarded to the top ten percent of his class of 270. It was based on leadership, academic and physical fitness abilities. Way to go Daddy!!

This was our first meeting with Daddy after 5 long weeks. We went out for pizza and had so much fun getting reaquainted!! Peace Out!
Typical Nathan

Not really sure what he is doing, but he sure has fun!!
