Our week of family fun continues....at the Jell-O museum in Leroy, New York. What a fun place to visit! We took a historical tour and learned all about the history of Jell-O. The man who invented the jiggly stuff was a carpenter and was bored during the long winter months. He had the brilliant idea to add sugar flavors and colors to gelatin. The box dessert was not widely popular at first. We all know that didn't last. Nathan is driving the Jell-O "muck" (truck) and lovin' every second! Hannah is posing as the Jell-O girl, who was the famous advertising icon. It was a super fun place to visit! We met another family visiting from Utah. We all were trying the figure out our favorite flavor of Jell-O...green maybe?
Letchworth State Park

We spent the rest of our day in Letchworth State Park. After a refreshing rain storm, we ventured out and found amazing waterfalls and overlooks. This is a beautiful place and we enjoyed nature. The kiddies had awesome energy ! They ran, climbed and played for hours. Just a little piece of heaven on earth!

We found a little waterfall area away from the path. The water was freezing, but the girls were brave and swam around. Liza loved the mud and she made lots of creations with it! Nathan would not touch the water...."owie...toooo cowd!) It was hard to leave. This was truly a fun, educational and wonderful day! Time for bed!

Sounds like an awfully fun day.
Letchworth State Park looks really beautiful...and fun too! I am glad you have the time to explore!
Did you know that the state of Iowa consumes more Jell-o per capita than anywhere in the nation? Would-a thought it would be Utah. Pretty odd, ei?
Welcome to Bloggersville! Glad you're here.
Looks like you had a fun time at Letchworth. We've been there many times and never seen that waterfall?
Good job on the blog, and good job exploring the area live in! It's fun to see what the Shermans are up to. :)
