Aliza is one in a million and we just love having her in our family. She is always saying cute things and I just wanted to share a few. First, a little back ground. Aliza loves to clean, dust, iron (yes, iron), vaccum, fold clothes, take care of everyone. She doesn't see it has something she HAS to do, she just loves it. On Saturday evening she got this panicked look on her face. "Oh my," she declared. " I haven't vaccummed the floor of my room and I have lots of dirty dishes in my sink!" Then she went on to explain that she had better hurry because those were things she must do on Saturday. She is an inspiration to the rest of us! Last night as I was tucking her in we had quite a discussion. The night before last she had started yelling and screaming really loud because she wanted us to come back in . We tried to just let her go for a minute, but she got louder and more intense. Finally, Mike went up and said, "WHERE'S THE FIRE?" She got a funny look on her face. He went on to expain that we only scream and yell and that level of intensity if there is a fire or a danger. She calmed down and went to sleep. Fast forward to last night. As I tucked her in I reminded her that shc cannot yell or scream. "Only if there is a fire, right Mom?" Right . And then I took the opportunity to remind her about fire safety. Like how you need crawl on your hands to stay below the smoke and other fire safety things. She thought for a moment. A lightbulb went off in her sweet little head. "Oh I see, that's why we have hands!!" Mike and I laughed so hard. This morning at breakfast Mike was eating some cereal He commented on the milk being tinted pink. I had no clue why the milk would be pink. I smelled it. Hmmmm...stawberry. Later I was asking Liza if she knew anything about entire gallon of strawberry milk. "Oh I just thought rather than pouring the milk out into a glass and then adding the strawberry Nesquick I would put the strawberry into the big milk!" Very logical. Aliza is the only one in our family that likes stawberry milk! I guess we better learn to like it quick. She keeps us all on our toes. Love you sweetie!

I can say first hand as her former dance teacher---she IS darling, I miss her cute smile!
so that is why she and Amanda get along so well. They are so much a like. thanks for sharing the stories.
haha . . there are NO dull moments with your energetic kids! We LOVE them all! In fact Jacob has been a bit distraught lately. He told me that Aliza wants to marry David, but he wants her to marry him. HMMMMM. I told him he didn't need to worry about that right now in his life, but he still talks about it every other day.
I think we need to have a fire alarm discussion in our own house. Your family is always so good about explaining things in a fun, affirming and down-to earth way. :) I need to take Mommy lessons from you guys.
Oh Katie, she is a beauty and a smart, smart girl! I LOVE her spunk, your house will never be boring with her around - what a blessing it is to have a spunky child - I LOVE IT!
Since when did Aliza get glasses?! You need to send us some pictures, so we can check them out k?
