Look out, here we come! Happy New Year 2008

We are ready to start new adventures this year. 2007 was a year full of new territory for our family. We saw new places and experienced much. We said "see you later" to incredible friends and are blessed with new friendships. Life is a journey and we want to savour every step of it. Here we go..... New Years Day 2008

We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary in December!!

Christmas Day! Thank goodness the missionaries came to dinner!
What a great day to eat and play "pick up sticks"!
Aliza's preschool program. She sang so beautifully and many people
commented on what a talented performer she was. What a beauty!!
Aliza's scream . She was ecstatic that it was finally her birthday!!
Aliza had a princess pajama party. All 14 of her best friends came to celebrate!
Here are a a few of them...

The castle cake. Whew...that took a while to make!
The "fluff" around to edges is sooo Liza!

Aliza's real birthday. She LOVES her new doll and
helped make another pink cake. Nathan just took it all in !

CHRISTMAS 2007
Rachel got toothpaste for Christmas. Oh yeah...and a really COOL scooter
that Mom and Dad even like to ride.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma! What a great new stocking!

Rachel had her first orchestra concert at school. She plays the viola. She played a duet with another student and they did awesome! Way to go Rach!

Hannah was very excited to receive a new laptop from Santa. She has
been enjoying it all break and has learned so much. What a smart girl!

Hannah's new stocking

The long awaited kitchen and ironing board arrive!

Nathan enjoyed many, many holiday treats!
This is a Christmas cupcake that Rachel and
Hannah made !

Nate loves "race cars" and has quite a collection. He takes great care of them. He drives them around and lines them up, then they move to another location. Oh yeah- he does not like to wear clothes. Who cares if its winter?!

Nathan was so proud that he prepared a bowl of cookies for Santa. Again....with the naked look.

Christmas morning was sooo exciting for Nathan. He was thrilled about his train table and "toot toot" trains. He also LOVED the race cars too!
Just playin'

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It loks like you had a great Christmas. It was killing Amanda that she couldn't come to Aliza's party she was ready to stay home from Utah just for that.

What a great update. It sounds like you have had a great month. I love the picture with the missionaries. Is Mike asleep, or is it just me???
And the birthday cake---we did that for Laura, two years in a row. She LOVED it so much that she begged for a repeat. Gotta love it!
We miss you guys!

Looks like you guys are always having a good time at your house. No wonder my kids want to become Sherman's.

It's fun to see your blog and family. I can't believe how much your kids have grown since we moved in the spring.

How great is technology? I clicked on "Next Blog" (since that's fun to do sometimes), and I noticed that this stranger had a Katie and Mike Sherman as a friend. I wondered if it might be the Katie and Mike from Houston, and IT IS!! This is Natalie Hansen, by the way. It has been so fun to see your family adventures. We have been in Russia now for two years, and are anxiously awaiting our next assignment. Our blog is www.neilandnatalie.blogspot.com. It has a link to our original website with all our Russia pictures on it, but that website will expire on the 23rd. I'm putting you on my friends list! I still talk to McKenzie almost every week even though they are in Qatar. Hope to hear from you!
