Rachel had unique birthday this year. We spent most of the day driving home from Vermont and she actually took a nap. She hasn't napped since she was 2! When we finally arrived in Rochester a big surprise was waiting in the living room! A new mountain bike! Pure screams and excitement! Another surprise came soon after. Our great friends, Kara and Jordan made Rachel a birthday cake with Harry Potter beans. Thanks so much! Oh yeah- most of the beans taste gross like worms, grass and dirt. This caused much laughing and spitting out of the beans. The cake was delicious though!! Rachel casting a birthday spell!
Rachel and Jess enjoying their wizard cupcakes!
Rachel had a spellbinding birthday party, Harry Potter style! We started off with roast beef and other Hogwarts foods. We then made wands with pretzels, chocolate and all kinds of sparkling stuff! Then the party exploded, literally! The kids made potions with vinegar, baking soda and food coloring. One of the girls went a little crazy and her potion exploded all over. AHHHH!! Green food coloring sorta comes out! After wizard cupcakes and presents, the kids settled in to watch Harry Potter. We had tons of fun and Rachel sure loved her party!
